  1. This is the explanation of the BACKUP 
  2. command. It is EXTERNAL.
  3.  
  4. It backs up one or more files to disk.
  5.  
  6. Example:
  7.        backup c:\user\smith\*.* a:
  8.        This would backup all the files 
  9.        in the user\smith directory
  10.        on drive C and copy them onto drive A.
  11.
